I think I\u2019ll take the easy way out and (mostly) reprint the Q&A from an interview I gave during a previous DonationCoder<\/a> NANY<\/a> promotion.<\/p>\n

Q. Please tell us a bit about yourself.<\/strong>
\nA. My name is Jody Holmes and I\u2019m a 51 year-old husband and father. My wife, Valerie, and I have been together for 32 years and we have two daughters, Alexis (Lexi), 25, and Sienna, 21.\u00a0 My day job is as a Senior Systems Engineer (SE) for Fortinet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Q. How\u2019d you get started with computers and build up your skill set?<\/strong>
\nA. Whilst growing up, our family always had computers and video games. I wrote my first program, ever, using Intellivision BASIC on an Intellivision II<\/a> (I still have the system). I also still have the first computer my parents bought for my brother and I, an Atari 130XE<\/a>. I wrote countless ASCII-based games on that Atari when I was a kid.<\/p>\n

Q. Which is your favourite programming language? Which tool do you use for creating apps?<\/strong>
\nA. I currently use AutoHotkey<\/a> for most everything due to its ease of use. I use Notepad++<\/a> for an editor (after using PSPad<\/a> for many years). In previous jobs I\u2019ve had, I developed in C and Java.<\/p>\n

Q. How and when did you get involved in Donationcoder ? What you would like to see in Donationcoder in future?<\/strong>
\nA. I signed up right when the site started out (charter member). I can\u2019t recall what brought me there, however. As for the future of DC, hmmm, I like the way it\u2019s going now.\u00a0Jesse (mouser)<\/a>\u00a0and all the members have built a really special site and community over the years.<\/p>\n

Q. How much time do you usually spend on computers\/proramming?<\/strong>
\nA. Several hours per week. Sometimes several hours per day.<\/p>\n

Q. Do you have any other projects on the go other than your NANY app?<\/strong>

Q. Do you have any experience with operating system other than windows? How much do you get involved in them?<\/strong>
\nA. Yes, I\u2019m well versed in *nix, Solaris, and BSD environments.<\/p>\n
